• Dogecoin Starts Trading on Coinbase Pro

  • High-flying meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin is now available for trading on Coinbase Pro, the professional version of America’s largest exchange. Dogecoin is currently the sixth-largest cryptocurrency with a market cap of $52 billion. It has gained over 30% since the start of the month due to the listing and Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s continued support. 
  • Ripple Seeks XRP Transfer Data on Overseas Exchanges

  • Ripple’s executives are seeking data on XRP transactions made on foreign exchanges to prove that most tokens were sold to non-U.S. citizens. It’s the latest twist in the ongoing legal battle with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Ripple is hoping to use data of XRP sales on overseas crypto exchanges for its defense case against the Securities and Exchange Commission.

IOTA 2.0 ‘Nectar’ goes live

IOTA Foundation, a non-profit building the underlying infrastructure for IOTA, announced the release of the  2.0 Development Network (DevNet) “Nectar” this week, as per a release shared with CryptoSlate. Nectar is a research prototype for the first fully decentralized, feeless, permissionless, and secure ‘Tangle’ protocol.

Korean Solana expansion gets $20 million boost

ROK Capital and the Solana Foundation have formed the Solana Eco Fund, aiming to spark a fire of Solana blockchain-based growth in Korea. Solana-related news has surfed a number of headlines in recent months. The blockchain now appears headed for major strides in Korea, with significant funding for its surrounding ecosystem. 

Bitcoin’s Hashrate Nears All-Time High

Bitcoin’s hash rate has almost fully recovered, rising from a low of 106 exahashes per second to around 174 currently as pictured above. The drop was due to claims China was to ‘crackdown’ on bitcoin mining with Inner Mongolia ostensibly kicking out miners. With such a low hash rate share, however, one can’t easily jump to conclusions because western miners have been busy piling up.
